Important Guidelines for Admissions
The admissions to all programmes/ courses of study shall be through Common Entrance Test (CET), to be conducted by the University. The medium of Entrance Test will be English.
Availability of Application Form and Information Brochure
The Application Form and the Information Brochure for the Common Entrance Test (CET) can only be downloaded from the University website www.ccsuniversity.ac.in. The candidate may apply not more than for five courses / programmes at U.G. / P.G. level and only one for M.Phil. The candidate may apply for all courses on the same application form. No separate (more than one) application form for different courses shall be accepted in any case from a candidate. Under such circumstances, the university may reject any of the application forms.
Entrance Test Fee
Prescribed Entrance Test fee will be submitted alongwith the duly filled in Application Form through a Demand Draft, issued in favour of Finance Controller, C.C.S. University, Meerut payable atMeerut. Fee by Cheque OR cash will not be accepted. The structure of Entrance Fee is mentioned as:
Fee for Regular & Self-Financed Programmes
For Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribe Candidates Rs. 200.00For Candidates belonging to all other Categories Rs. 300.00
(i) Complete Application Form along with Entrance Fee Demand Draft, self attested copies of required marks-sheets and necessary degrees/certificates is to be sent by Registered/ Speed Post only so as to reach the Coordinator Common Entrance Test (CET), Professional Courses 2009, Chaudhary Charan Singh University, Meerut (U.P.) 250004 on or before 25th June, 2009.(ii) An application form sent through courier service or submitted by hand shall not be accepted in any case.(iii) Application Forms incomplete in any respect shall be summarily rejected and the applicant will not be allowed to appear in the Common Entrance test.(iv) Candidates are advised to mention on the back of the Demand Draft, their application form number, name and address.(v) Application form is to be filled by the student carefully in his/her own handwriting.(vi) Candidates having appeared/appearing for the qualifying examination may also apply for admission to a course. But their candidature will remain provisional and be considered only if they satisfy eligibility conditions at the time of admission.(vii) A candidate having passed his/her qualifying examination as private candidate shall furnish a certificate of conduct from the Principal of the College or Gazetted Officer or an M.L.A./M.P. Candidates belonging to SC/ST category will have to attach the proof of the category.(viii) The self attested copies of the certificates, mark-sheets and other documents enclosed with the application form shall be verified from their original documents at the time of admission.(ix) Photographs attested only by the Principal of a Intermediate / Degree / Post-Graduate College /Gazetted officer will be accepted.
Choice permitted to the candidates at P.G. Level
As is mentioned in the guidelines, that no candidate will be allowed to apply for more than five courses.
Entrance Test
(Syllabus and Pattern of Questions)For M.Phil programme, the questions will be asked from the syllabus of the respective discipline of Chaudhary Charan Singh University, Meerut in the respective subjects.Likewise for M.A./M.Sc. programmes, the test will be based on the syllabus ofB.A./B.Sc. of Chaudhary Charan Singh University, Meerut for UG courses, the test will be based on the syllabus of +2 level.

General Rules relating to Admission
1. No student shall be admitted in contravention of the admission rules or in excess of the number allowed under rules. The Vice-Chancellor shall have the power to cancel admission made in such contravention.2. No person who is history-sheeter according to the police records or has been convicted of an offence involving moral turpitude shall not be given admission in the University and if already admitted his / her admission shall be cancelled immediately after the facts of the case are known.3. If it is discovered that a candidate has been punished on account of using unfair means in any examination or has been expelled from any educational institute, he/she shall not be admitted.The University has the right to cancel, at any stage, the admission of a candidate if it is discovered that he/she was not entitled to admission in accordance with the prevalent rules and regulations. Admission, at any stage, may also be cancelled if deemed fit in the interest of the University.4. Payment of any dues shall not establish a claim of student to admission or re-admission.5. A student shall not be admitted/ re-admitted to any course, if his / her conduct in the previous academic session has been unsatisfactory or if it is discovered that he/she is suffering from a disease of a nature which may be detrimental to the health of other students of the University.6. A candidate who possesses any post graduate degree shall not be given regular admission for another post-graduate degree course, provided facilities to appear as a private candidate for the post graduate degree exist.7. In case a student seeks admission for a second post-graduate degree in a subject where facility to appear as private candidate is not available, his/her admission may be allowed if he/she has studied that subject at the undergraduate level.8. No candidate shall be allowed admission to a post-graduate degree in a subject in which practical examination is a part of curriculum, unless the candidate has passed the qualifying examination with the subject.9. The use of unfair means by candidate, detected at any stage, would lead to cancellation of his/ her admission. It would also debar him/ her from appearing in the admission test in future.10. Admission of foreign students, if selected, would be subject to a clearance from the Department of Education, Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India.11. Fees once deposited are not refundable under any circumstances.12. The University reserves the rights to drop any admission to any course without giving any reason.13. For all purposes decision of the Admission Committee with the approval of Vice-Chancellor shall be final.

General eligibility requirements
(A) M.Phil. Programme: Admission to M.Phil. Programme is open to a student who:1. holds at least a second class Master’s Degree with 55 percent or more marks in the subject concerned.
and
2. has passed both Bachelor’s Degree and Intermediate examination each separately with at least 50 percent marks.
or
passed Bachelor’s Degree with 55% marks and intermediate examination in second division.
(B) M.A., M.Sc Admission to all Master’s Degree courses shall be open to a student who has passed Bachelor’s Degree with 45% marks
Note:(1) Minimum eligibility conditions regarding the percentage of marks in any of the above courses for SC/ST/OBC candidates will be as per state govt. rules.
